Donna Karan is a fashion designer and a daughter of a fashion model and a haberdasher. She was exposed to fashion at a very early age and she just knew the right thing to do with clothes. She went to Parsons School of Design and got a summer job with Anne Klein. After the Anne Klein job, she did not go back to school, she just continued to work and design. She soon became associate designer of Anne Klein in 1971.

In 1994, she concocted two of her famous Donna Karan cologne lines called Donna Karan Cashmere Mist and DK Men. Both DKNY perfumes were received well and are still being produce up to now.

On the other hand, DK Men Unleaded was begin in the year 1995 and was shortly pursued by Chaos in 1996. This was not such a big hit as the other DKNY perfumes but it still sold a lot. The DKNY perfumes went on interval for short period of time and quickly came back in the year 2002.
