DKNY Perfume

Donna Karan is a fashion designer and a daughter of a fashion model and a haberdasher. She was exposed to fashion at a very early age and she just knew the right thing to do with clothes. She went to Parsons School of Design and got a summer job with Anne Klein. After the Anne Klein job, she did not go back to school, she just continued to work and design. She soon became associate designer of Anne Klein in 1971.

Donna Karan always designs clothes that cold be worn, not the outrageous haute couture that was only for the runways. She also loved the classic sporty look and adds her own style to them. She designs her clothing lines with the idea that she could wear them herself and inspired by beauty and sensuality.

DKNY perfume lines are a reflection of her spirit love of life. Her first fragrance was Donna Karan Eau de Parfum which came out almost at the same time as Donna Karan New York, in 1992. In 1994, she concocted two of her famous Donna Karan cologne lines called Donna Karan Cashmere Mist and DK Men. Both DKNY perfumes were received well and are still being produce up to now.

On the other hand, DK Men Unleaded was begin in the year 1995 and was shortly pursued by Chaos in 1996. This was not such a big hit as the other DKNY perfumes but it still sold a lot. At the turn of the century, Donna Karan created DKNY for Men and DKNY for women. This DKNY cologne and perfume line was received very well. The DKNY perfumes went on interval for short period of time and quickly came back in the year 2002.

Black Cashmere came out in 2002 and was followed by DKNY Energy in the year 2003. These perfumes are all divine smelling and the latter is a very refreshing and revitalizing scent. In the year 2004 and 2005, Donna Karan launched two of her couple’s perfumes known as DKNY Be Delicious for Women, present first in 2004, and DKNY Be Delicious for Men, launched at a later date in 2005.
